From the Groom

From the Bride

I met Albert at church, and at first I wasn’t looking, no really I wasn’t! I was going to church because my family attended the same church Albert went to. Once I started attending church, I got to know the members and made friends. As time passed I started to notice Albert, as he would always be the Worship Leader when I attended; there was no way for me to avoid looking at him. I thought to myself, “He’s kind of cute, I need to talk to him!”. Finally, one day after a Sunday service he came up to my family and said hello. He walked up to me and asked for my name, but I was too busy on my phone “texting”. I told him my name was Ana, but I kind of blew him off. I was trying to make it seem as if it wasn’t a big deal, playing hard to get type of thing. On the way home from church I said to myself, “I can’t believe I didn’t pay attention to him, and I didn’t even pay attention to what his name was!”. I was so mad at myself! The following Sunday after service my family went to eat at a restaurant, and I was talking to my cousin Marlyn (she had been a member at the church for some time). I asked her, “Hey, what is that guy’s name that leads the worship? The guy that has his hair slicked back.” She said “Oh, Albert Perez”. I made sure to write his name down so I wouldn’t forget. I found him on Twitter and sent him a tweet “Hey! Do you know who this is?” He took what seemed forever to reply. But, 3 hours later he did reply and said “Ana Lopez, from church”. I thought to myself “He remembered me!” I was happy.

We started talking and I think our first conversation went on for hours. It felt as if we already knew each other. We became great friends, and as I started to get to know him over the phone and talking to him at church, I started to like him. Finally, one day he asked me to go on a first date, and the rest is history. I fell in love with him and he fell in love with me. He is the most amazing man in the world, my best friend. I love Albert because supports me in everything I do and he always puts me first (besides God of course).

I never expected to be with a man like Albert, but God placed a great man in my life. I am blessed and feel like I am living a dream come true. I love Albert and will soon call him my husband.
